Tucson Roadrunners Road Ahead: Midweek With Milwaukee

The Roadrunners continue their four-game home stand at the Tucson Arena with a pair of midweek matchups against the Milwaukee Admirals Tuesday and Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. MST. The two-game set marks the first ever regular-season meetings between Tucson and the AHL affiliate of the Nashville Predators. The week of hockey includes another $2 Twos-Day and Kids Free Wednesday at the Tucson Arena, with $2 Draft Beers and $2 popcorn available on Tuesday. In addition, all kids 12 and under on Wednesday can receive a free ticket with a paying adult at the Tucson Arena Box Office. Saturday’s matchup with the Bakersfield Condors is the first meeting between the Roadrunners and the AHL affiliate of the Edmonton Oilers since the opening weekend at the Tucson Arena October 22 and 23: a two-game sweep by the Roadrunners with back-to-back 5-3 victories.

Tucson, Arizona - The American Hockey League announced Tuesday afternoon that Forward Michael Carcone has been named the league’s Player of the Month for December. The third-year Roadrunner was recalled to the Coyotes last week.

The 14-12-4-0 Roadrunners return home to begin the new year with a four-game home stand at the Tucson Arena, beginning Friday, January 6 against the Colorado Eagles. The series marks the only trip to the desert on the season for the AHL affiliate of the Colorado Avalanche, with four total meetings scheduled between the Roadrunners and Eagles this year. The 14-10-4-0 Roadrunners head to Texas for the final two games of the 2022 calendar year Friday and Saturday against the Texas Stars. The series is the first meeting of the season between Tucson and Texas, with a total of four games scheduled against the Roadrunners and the AHL affiliate of the Dallas Stars this year. Tucson earned a standings point in three of four matchups with Texas last season, finishing with a 2-1-1-0 head-to-head record. The 12-9-4-0 Roadrunners wrap up their quick three-game road trip Tuesday night with the second of two matchups against the Coachella Valley Firebirds. Tucson will look to finish the trip with a 2-1 record after the Firebirds won the first ever contest at Acrisure Arena on Sunday, December 18 by a score of 4-3. Tuesday coverage begins with Roadrunners Happy Hour from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m., followed by Roadrunners Warm-Up at 7:45 p.m. After Tuesday’s game in Coachella Valley, the Roadrunners return home for a pair of games against the San Diego Gulls before Christmas on Thursday, December 22 and Friday, December 23.
