November 18 morning skate notes

By: Alex Kinkopf

Good morning from Tucson Arena, where the Roadrunners held a roughly 45-minute skate ahead of tonight’s contest against the Manitoba Moose, which is scheduled for a 7:05 PM start.

The Moose, who arrived and practiced in Tucson yesterday, are scheduled for an 11:15 AM ice slot.

Goaltenders Adin Hill and Justin Peters left the ice simultaneously, so there’s no telling who will be in Tucson’s net. We’ll have to wait for the song, and see which netminder leads the team out for pregame warm-ups.

Christian Fischer looks to be making a return to the lineup after missing the previous two games with an undisclosed injury. Fischer skated on the left side of Tyler Gaudet and Conor Garland on Mark Lamb’s second unit.

Christian Dvorak skated as an extra and is not playing tonight. Chances are, he will soon be recalled to the Coyotes due to Brad Richardson’s injury suffered Thursday night.

Along with Dvorak, forward Stefan Fournier and defensemen Dysin Mayo and Zbynek Michalek remained on the ice for extra work – so those four are likely your healthy scratches.

The players aligned this morning as such:

FORWARDS
BRENDAN PERLINI – CHRIS MUELLER – CRAIG CUNNINGHAM
CHRISTIAN FISCHER – TYLER GAUDET – CONOR GARLAND
MICHAEL BUNTING – RYAN MACINNIS – HENRIK SAMUELSSON
