TUCSON, AZ - The Tucson Roadrunners announced today that their games scheduled for Tuesday, November 22 and Wednesday, November 23 against the San Diego Gulls have been postponed. The make-up dates for these games will be announced in the future.
The decision to postpone these games was made by the American Hockey League and the Tucson Roadrunners out of respect to Roadrunners’ Captain Craig Cunningham. Cunningham was hospitalized Saturday night after suffering a medical emergency prior to the start of the game against Manitoba.
“Craig remains in stable but critical condition at a local hospital,” said Doug Soetaert, Roadrunners General Manager. “He is receiving excellent medical care but out of respect to Craig and his family we are refraining from further comment or discussing any details at this time. Our thoughts and prayers are with Craig and his family.”
Tickets for the games on Tuesday and Wednesday will be honored when the makeup dates have been finalized.
The Roadrunners next play on Saturday, November 26 against the Stockton Heat at the Tucson Arena. Face-off is scheduled for 7:05 PM.
