December 9 morning skate notes

By: Alex Kinkopf

A good morning to you from Tucson Arena, where the Roadrunners have completed their pregame skate ahead of tonight’s affair against the Ontario Reign, slated to start at 7:05 PM MST.

Ontario is scheduled for an 11:15 AM skate.

Tonight’s contest, presented by News 4 Tucson and iHeart Media, features the team’s first-annual Teddy Bear Toss to benefit Aviva Children’s Services.

There look to be no changes to the lines used during Wednesday night’s game – a 3-2 overtime loss. Adin Hill was the first goaltender to leave the ice and is projected to start in net. For Hill, it will be his 12th start of the season, and his first since the Roadrunners’ 5-1 loss to the San Diego Gulls on November 30.

In two starts against the Reign this season, Hill is 2-0-0, having stopped 83 of a combined 89 shots faced.

Stefan Fournier, who suffered a lower-body injury Saturday in Bakersfield, did not skate. Eric Selleck spent the morning doing off-ice workouts.

The team aligned as such:

FORWARDS (COLOR CODED):
LAURENT DAUPHIN – CHRIS MUELLER – CHRISTIAN FISCHER
GARRET ROSS – MARK OLVER – MARK COOPER
MICHAEL BUNTING – RYAN MACINNIS – CONOR GARLAND
HUNTER FEJES – TREVOR CHEEK – LINDSAY SPARKS

DEFENSEMEN (BLACK):
JARRED TINORDI – ZBYNEK MICHALEK
DAKOTA MERMIS – JAMIE MCBAIN
KYLE WOOD – ANTHONY DEANGELO
BRANDON BURLON

GOALTENDERS (BLACK):
ADIN HILL
MAREK LANGHAMER
JUSTIN PETERS

There’s much more to come from a busy Friday in the Old Pueblo.

For now, take in a few photos from the morning walk-through:
