HOME, SWEET HOME: Tonight marks the third of six meetings with the Rampage this season and the first of San Antonio’s three visits to Tucson Arena. San Antonio is playing the first of a six-game road trip; they’re coming off of a 2-1 victory over the Texas Stars on Tuesday night. The Roadrunners are playing the first of a two-game home stand; they’re coming off of a 4-1 victory over the Stockton Heat on Wednesday.

FIRST VS. WORST: The Roadrunners climbed back atop the Pacific Division earlier in the week, currently sitting at first-place with a .688 win percentage. San Antonio enters the evening at the bottom of the division, positioned at eighth-place with a .467 win percentage. Tucson’s only regulation loss in their past eight games, however, came against the Rampage on December 17.

LINEUP: The Roadrunners held an optional morning skate at Tucson Arena in anticipation of tonight’s game. Hunter Fejes, Henrik Samuelsson, and Brandon Burlon remained on the ice for extra work and will likely be healthy scratches. Justin Peters was the first goalie off the ice and is projected to start in net.

CONNAUTON IN: The Coyotes assigned defenseman Kevin Connauton to the Roadrunners on a conditioning loan Friday morning. Connauton, who is returning from injury, will likely be in tonight’s lineup. The 26 year-old defenseman has played in nine games for the Coyotes this season, and has appeared in 221 career American Hockey League games with Manitoba, Chicago, and Texas. He will wear #8.

THE LAST TIME AROUND: In the teams’ previous meeting on December 17 at the AT&T Center, the Roadrunners fell to the Rampage 4-2. Garret Ross and Christian Fischer scored for Tucson; Marek Langhamer made 30 saves in the loss. The Roadrunners are 1-1-0-0 against the Rampage this season; Christian Fischer leads all players in points scored against San Antonio this season with five (4G, 1A).

SEEING RED: For the first time tonight, the Roadrunners will don their brick-red jerseys on home-ice; the AHL’s newly mandated rule of host teams wearing dark uniforms going into effect this past Monday. Tucson is 2-4-0-0 in their red sets this season.
