TEXAS FOR TWO: Tonight marks the second of six meetings with the Stars this season, and the second of Texas’ three scheduled visits to Tucson Arena. The Stars are playing the second of a three-game road trip; they’re coming off of a 3-1 win over the Ontario Reign Wednesday night at Citizens Business Bank Arena. The Roadrunners are playing the second of a five-game home stand; they’re coming off of a 5-2 win over the Manitoba Moose on Tuesday night.

BUNTING UP TOP: Forward Michael Bunting looks to be making his debut on the team’s first line tonight, filling in for the recalled Brendan Perlini and Laurent Dauphin on the left side of Chris Mueller and Christian Fischer. Bunting, in 29 games this season, is sixth on the team in points scored with 13 (6G, 7A). He scored one goal and led all Roadrunners players in shots registered (4) in Tucson’s only previous meeting with the Stars on November 2.

HOME COOKIN’: With their victory on Tuesday night, the Roadrunners snapped their two-game losing skid on home ice, which more than doubled the club’s regulation loss total at Tucson Arena this season. Tucson is 10-3-2-0 playing locally; Texas comes into the night with a 7-7-1-1 mark when playing on the road. Can the Roadrunners add to their success on home ice with a win tonight?

THE LAST TIME AROUND: In the teams’ previous meeting on November 2, the Roadrunners fell to the Stars 4-3 in overtime. Jason Dickinson netted the game-winning goal with 1:09 left in the extra frame. Michael Bunting, Jamie McBain, and Chris Mueller scored for Tucson. Adin Hill stopped 32 of the 36 shots he faced in the overtime loss.

SPECIALTY JERSEYS: The Roadrunners will don specially designed jerseys this weekend for the team’s first-annual ‘Wildcat Weekend’. The uniforms, fitted in UA Red, Arizona Blue, and White, will be auctioned off following Saturday night’s game.

WE’RE DOING IT LIVE: You can catch tonight’s action on AHL Live. Roadrunners play-by-play broadcaster Tom Callahan and color commentator Timothy Gassen will have the radio call on AM 1450 KTZR, which can be listened to for free HERE.
