January 18 morning skate notes

By: Alex Kinkopf

Good morning from Tucson Arena, where the Roadrunners took the ice for a 10:00 AM morning skate ahead of tonight’s game against the Ontario Reign, which is scheduled for a 7:05 PM start.

Tucson, with a victory tonight, can set a new franchise record for consecutive games won with a five-game win streak. The team has won four games in a row on three separate occasions this season.

There don’t appear to be any changes made to the lines the team used in Monday night’s 3-2 victory. It is unclear whether Adin Hill or Justin Peters is going to get the nod tonight.

The team aligned as such:

FORWARDS (COLOR CODED):
MICHAEL BUNTING – CHRIS MUELLER – CHRISTIAN FISCHER
MARK OLVER – TYLER GAUDET – HENRIK SAMUELSSON
LINDSAY SPARKS – RYAN MACINNIS – CONOR GARLAND
HUNTER FEJES – TREVOR CHEEK – STEFAN FOURNIER

DEFENSEMEN (BLACK):
JARRED TINORDI – JAMIE MCBAIN
DAKOTA MERMIS – ANTHONY DEANGELO
ZBYNEK MICHALEK – KYLE WOOD
BRANDON BURLON

GOALTENDERS (BLACK):
ADIN HILL
JUSTIN PETERS

Ontario is scheduled for an 11:15 AM skate.

The Roadrunners are completing a five-game home stand tonight; they’ve posted a 4-0-0-0 mark during their local stay thus far. Tucson now has a 13-3-2-0 mark on home ice, upping their win percentage to .778% - which is good for second best in the league, behind only the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins’ .789%.

More to come on this Wednesday in Tucson, Arizona.
