Coyotes Assign Christian Fischer to the Roadrunners

GLENDALE, ARIZONA - Arizona Coyotes General Manager John Chayka announced today that the Coyotes have assigned forward Christian Fischer to the Tucson Roadrunners, the club's American Hockey League affiliate (AHL).
Fischer will represent the Roadrunners at the 2017 AHL All-Star game in Lehigh Valley, PA on Monday night along with defenseman Kyle Wood.
The 19-year-old Fischer scored two goals in three games with the Coyotes and became the first player in franchise history to score a goal in each of his first two career NHL games. The 6-foot-2, 214-pound native of Chicago, Illinois has registered 16-16-32 and 22 penalty minutes (PIM) in 31 games with the Roadrunners this season.
Fischer was originally drafted by the Coyotes in the second round (32nd overall) in the 2015 Entry Draft.
Tucson will host the San Diego Gulls tonight at 7:05 p.m. presented by News 4 Tucson for Anti-Bullying Night. Kids can sign an anti-bullying pledge and receive a Roadrunners wrist band. Plus it’s $2 beer night. Saturday night is Super Hero Night presented by 106.3 The Groove. Roadrunners super hero capes will be handed out to the first 1,000 kids 12-and-under while all fans are encouraged to dress in costume. Plus it’s $1 hot dogs, popcorn and soda for fans.
