BACK IN CALI: Tonight marks the ninth of 12 meetings with the Reign this season, and the third of the Roadrunners’ six scheduled visits to Ontario’s Citizens Business Bank Arena. The Reign are playing the final of a four-game home stand, where they’ve posted a 2-1-0-0 record thus far; they’re coming off of a 2-0 loss to the San Jose Barracuda on Saturday night. The Roadrunners are playing the final of a six-game road trip, where they’ve posted a 1-4-0-0 record thus far; they’re coming off of a 5-2 win over the San Diego Gulls on Saturday.

REIGN TERRITORY: The Roadrunners have been extremely successful against the Reign this season on home-ice at Tucson Arena, posting a 5-0-1-0 mark. They are, though, winless in two visits to Ontario’s Citizens Business Bank Arena, falling both times 4-1 on December 2 and February 17. Can the Roadrunners win their first game in the Reign’s home building tonight?

PROJECTED LINEUP: The team held a morning skate in anticipation of tonight’s game. There is no telling to any specifics set in place for Mark Lamb’s lineup. The lines used in Tuesday’s practice are listed below. A final, hockey operations-approved lineup will be posted to tonight’s Live Blog 30 minutes prior to puck drop.

FORWARDS:
LAURENT DAUPHIN – CHRIS MUELLER – CHRISTIAN FISCHER
ANTHONY DUCLAIR – TYLER GAUDET – ERIC SELLECK

DEFENSEMEN:

BRANDON BURLON – JAMIE MCBAIN
DAKOTA MERMIS – KYLE WOOD

GOALTENDERS:
ADIN HILL
AUSTIN LOTZ

THE LAST TIME AROUND: In the teams’ previous meeting last Friday night, the Roadrunners fell 4-1 to the Reign at Citizens Business Bank Arena. Laurent Dauphin scored the only goal for Tucson in the loss; Adin Hill made 25 saves.

HOLDING ON: With their 5-2 win over San Diego Gulls on Saturday night, the Roadrunners jumped back into playoff positioning, reclaiming fourth-place in the Pacific Division. Regardless of a Roadrunners loss and a Texas Stars win over the Stockton Heat tonight, the team will maintain that spot in the division.

TWO-STRAIGHT: The Roadrunners will look to win games in consecutive fashion for the first time since January 16 and 18 – both of which came against Ontario. Those two wins capped off the team’s franchise record five-game win streak. Since then, the Roadrunners are 2-9-1-0.

IRON MAN: Goaltender Jack Campbell is projected to make his 33rd consecutive start tonight. Campbell’s streak of starts began on December 2 during Tucson’s first visit to Ontario, where he made 24 saves the Reign’s 4-1 win. During his consecutive string of starts, Campbell is 3-2-1 in five starts against the Roadrunners.
