DROPPING IN FOR REIGN: Tonight marks the 10th of 12 meetings with the Reign this season, and the fourth of six scheduled visits to Ontario’s Citizens Business Bank Arena. The Reign are playing the second of a two-game home stand; they’re coming off of a 2-1 victory over the Stockton Heat Saturday night. The Roadrunners are playing the second of a five-game road trip; they’re coming off of a 4-1 loss to the San Diego Gulls Saturday night.
ABOVE .500: With Friday night’s loss, the Roadrunners have dropped back to the .500 mark for the first time since October 21. Can the team avoid dropping below the .500 mark for the first time since the first game of the season with a win over the Reign tonight?
PROJECTED LINEUP: There is no telling whether or not any changes will be made to the lineup the team used Friday night in San Diego, which is listed below.
LAURENT DAUPHIN – CHRIS MUELLER – CHRISTIAN FISCHER
JOE WHITNEY – GRAYSON DOWNING - JEREMY MORIN
MICHAEL BUNTING - TYLER GAUDET - ERIC SELLECK
MITCH MOROZ - RYAN MACINNIS - BRANDEN TROOCK
(CONOR GARLAND – MARK OLVER)
JARRED TINORDI – JAMIE MCBAIN
DAKOTA MERMIS – ZBYNEK MICHALEK
DYSIN MAYO – KYLE WOOD
THE LAST TIME AROUND: In the teams’ previous meeting on February 22 at Citizens Business Bank Arena, the Roadrunners fell to the Reign 3-0. Adin Hill made 23 saves in the loss. The Roadrunners are winless on the road against the Reign this season, posting a 0-3-0-0 record in Ontario.
GET ‘EM AT HOME: The Roadrunners have a winning record against the Reign this season, putting up a 5-3-1-0 record against their Pacific Division counterpart in nine meetings thus far. Tucson, though, has failed to pick up a victory against Ontario on the road; they have a 5-0-1-0 record against the Reign on home ice, and are a winless 0-3-0-0 at Citizens Business Bank Arena.
WE’RE DOING IT LIVE: You can catch tonight’s action on AHL Live. Roadrunners play-by-play broadcaster Tom Callahan will have the radio call on AM 1450 KTZR, which can be listened to for free HERE. Callahan’s radio coverage of tonight’s contest will begin at 6:45 PM MST.
