Roadrunners To Honor Craig Cunningham With #CunnyDid Night March 25

TUCSON, AZ – The Tucson Roadrunners, proud American Hockey League affiliate of the Arizona Coyotes, announced today that the team will host “Cunny Did Night” honoring team captain Craig Cunningham on Saturday, March 25 when they host the San Jose Barracuda at 7:05 p.m. The game is presented by SAACA – the Southern Arizona Arts and Cultural Alliance – and the first 1,500 kids 14-and-under will receive a specially-designed, one-of-a-kind Roadrunners Youth Jersey courtesy of OrthoPros | DentalPros and News 4 Tucson.
Fans are encouraged to arrive early for a pre-game ceremony which will honor Cunningham, who survived a medical emergency prior to the Roadrunners’ game November 19 thanks to the help of Dr. George Haloftis of Carondelet St. Mary’s Hospital - Tucson and Dr. Zain Khalpey of Banner – University Medical Center Tucson. Cunningham, Dr. Haloftis and Dr. Khalpey will together drop the puck prior to the start of the game. American Hockey League President David Andrews will also be on hand for the pre-game festivities.
In addition, SAACA will be on hand that evening with numerous events and festivities including a Chalk Arts Kids Zone from 4 – 7 p.m. that features a signature hockey-themed mural and local artists performing in front of and inside Tucson Arena prior to the game.
The evening will also feature live musical performances from Mariachi Inspiracion de Tucson and Jovert
SAACA artists will also display specially painted game pucks which will be available for purchase and artistically designed hockey sticks that will be used during warm-ups by select Roadrunners players to be part of a silent auction during the game. All proceeds will go directly to SAACA.
The special youth jersey giveaway will feature a black, one-of-a-kind youth jersey that will be given away to the first 1,500 kids ages 14 and under to the game on March 25 courtesy of OrthoPros | DentalPros and News 4 Tucson.
