AFTERNOON DELIGHT: Today marks the 12th and final meeting with the Reign this season, and the sixth and final scheduled visit to Ontario’s Citizens Business Bank Arena. The Reign are completing a two-game home stand; the Roadrunners are playing the fifth of a five-game road trip. Both teams are coming off of a meeting Saturday night in which the Roadrunners won 5-4.

SETTING THE TABLE: Today’s game will be the final one for the Roadrunners before next weekend’s two-game set against the Bakersfield Condors at Tucson Arena. The Condors currently hold the Pacific Division’s fourth and final playoff spot, and are not scheduled to play today. Can the Roadrunners make next weekend’s series more interesting by gaining some ground with a win this afternoon?

PROJECTED LINEUP: It is unclear whether or not any changes will be made to the lineup used Saturday night. Defenseman Jarred Tinordi is expected to return after serving a one-game suspension. Adin Hill is presumed to get the call in net after Marek Langhamer’s 50-save performance last night.

THE LAST TIME AROUND: In the teams’ previous meeting on Saturday night at Citizens Business Bank Arena, the Roadrunners came away with a 5-4 victory. Jeremy Morin and Grayson Downing scored their first goals in Roadrunners uniforms; Jamie McBain, Zbynek Michalek, and Laurent Dauphin scored as well. Marek Langhamer made 50 saves in the win. The Roadrunners are 7-3-1-0 in their previous 11 meetings with the Reign this season.

PLAYOFF PUSH: The Roadrunners come into the afternoon situated at sixth-place in the Pacific Division, behind the Stockton Heat and the Bakersfield Condors for the grouping’s fourth and final playoff spot. The Condors are idle today, while the Heat host the Central Division’s best Grand Rapids Griffins. Can the Roadrunners gain some ground with another victory over the Reign today?
