Coyotes Assign McBain to Roadrunners

GLENDALE - Arizona Coyotes General Manager John Chayka announced today that the Coyotes have assigned defenseman Jamie McBain to the Tucson Roadrunners, the club's American Hockey League affiliate (AHL).
The 28-year-old McBain has appeared in three games with the Coyotes this season. The 6-foot-1, 180-pound defenseman recorded 2-7-9 and six penalty minutes (PIM) in 44 games with the Los Angeles Kings last season. The Edina, MN native has totalled 30-80-110 and 72 PIM in 348 career NHL games with the Coyotes, Kings, Buffalo Sabres and Carolina Hurricanes.
McBain was originally drafted by the Hurricanes in the second round (63rd overall) in the 2006 Entry Draft.
Tucson’s professional team opens the home portion of its inaugural season this Friday night at 7:05 pm and Sunday afternoon at 4:05 pm. Friday’s inaugural home opener is presented by Crest Insurance with every fan in attendance receiving a commemorative ticket. Sunday’s game is presented by Concord General Contracting and all kids in attendance will receive a Hat Trick-or-Treat pillowcase to collect candy on the concourse at 3:15 pm. Everyone is encouraged to dress in costume and celebrate the day.
