RRTV In The Community: Hugs, Pencils, and Dusty

Dusty and the Roadrunners joined Arizona Bilingual on Thursday, July 30 for their Back To School Expo at Tucson Convention Center. The team hosted their Slapshot Booth where all kids could take a shot on goal. In addition, the team donated 1,000 Roadrunners erasers and 1,000 Roadrunners pencils to the backpack stuffing event. Five grand prize winners also took home a Roadrunners Backpack.

RRTV In The Community: Dusty Visits Reid Park Zoo

The Tucson Roadrunners and Mascot Dusty teamed with Reid Park Zoo to collect non-perishable food items for The Tucson Family Food Project and Southern Arizona Animal Food Bank at Saturday’s Summer Safari Nights event. All fans who donated received a signed Roadrunners Player Card of their choice. The Roadrunners involvement is a part of the team’s #SummerRunners Campaign to engage with current fans and meet fans in waiting during the offseason while also supporting community efforts and initiatives throughout Southern Arizona.

Roadrunners To Join Reid Park Zoo For Summer Safari Nights Saturday

Tucson, Arizona – The Tucson Roadrunners, the American Hockey League affiliate of the Arizona Coyotes, will join Reid Park Zoo for Summer Safari Nights on Saturday, July 22 from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m.

Here’s the fun from Wednesday’s NHL Draft Party hosted at Tucson Arena by the Roadrunners as the Arizona Coyotes selected sixth and 12th in the first round. Along with the NHL Draft on the arena video board, the event also featured Roadrunners Mascot Dusty and more fun and games as event also collected money for The Tucson Family Food Project.

El Lazo De Tucson Awarded AHL Marketing Campaign Of The Year

Tucson, Arizona – The Tucson Roadrunners and their “El Lazo de Tucson” alternate branding identity won the American Hockey League’s Marketing Campaign of the Year Award at the league’s Team Business Meetings that were held this week at JW Marriott Tucson Starr Pass. The Roadrunners wore their El Lazo Jerseys for three games during the 2022-23 season that were each presented by the City of Tucson.

The Tucson Roadrunners joined the Tucson Junior Roadrunners Thursday night at Hooters in Tucson for a dining fundraiser with prizes that included a team signed Roadrunners Jersey, team signed mini sticks and a 50/50 raffle all to help support our youth hockey program here in Southern Arizona. Roadrunners Mascot Dusty stopped by as well to take part in the fun.

Roadrunners To Host School Day Game In 2023-24

Tucson, Arizona – The Tucson Roadrunners, in partnership with Stantec and the Pima County School Superintendent’s Office, are excited to host a School Day Game for local students during the 2023-24 season.  Details for the game including date, time and ticketing will be announced once the 2023-24 regular schedule is finalized and announced in July.

RRTV In The Community: First Responders Night Finale

The Tucson Roadrunners auctioned off their game-worn First Responders Jerseys Saturday night after defeating the Calgary Wranglers 3-2 in a shootout in front of 5,593 fans at the Tucson Arena on First Responders Night. Nearly $35,000 was raised from the live postgame event, with proceeds benefitting the First Tee of Tucson and Roadrunners Community Efforts in Southern Arizona. The Roadrunners players took part in the event by signing the jerseys and taking photos with the winning bidders. The Roadrunners will be back home at the Tucson Arena Tuesday, March 21 and Wednesday, March 22, to host the Ontario Reign, AHL affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings.

RRTV In The Community: First Responders Fire Drill

Prior to the Tucson Roadrunners matchup against the Calgary Wranglers on Saturday, March 18, the Tucson Police Department and Tucson Fire Department took the ice for a First Responders Day Game at the Tucson Arena. The Tucson Fire Department secured a 4-3 come-from-behind victory for their second-straight win over the Tucson Police Department. The Roadrunners followed up their local First Responders by wearing Specialty First Responders Jerseys for the series finale against the American Hockey League affiliate of the NHL’s Calgary Flames, that saw Tucson defeat the Wranglers in a shootout by a final score of 3-2.
