Cameron Hebig Named AHL Player of the Week

TUCSON, AZ – The American Hockey League (AHL) announced today that Tucson Roadrunners forward Cameron Hebig has been named the Howies Hockey Tape/AHL Player of the Week for the period ending November 1, 2026. He becomes the eighth Roadrunners player to earn Player of the Week honors and the first since Egor Sokolov on Oct. 28, 2024.

Hebig, 29, recorded four goals and seven points in three road games last week, helping the Roadrunners win all three contests and extend their current winning streak to four games and point streak to nine games. Tucson has gone 7-0-2-0 since Oct. 9 to climb to the top of the Pacific Division standings with 16 points.

On Wednesday in Coachella Valley, Hebig tallied two assists in Tucson’s 5-1 victory over the Firebirds. He followed that performance with two goals and an assist during the Roadrunners’ five-goal third period in Friday’s 5-4 win at Ontario, helping Tucson overcome a late two-goal deficit. On Saturday, Hebig scored twice at 11:35 and 15:18 of the second period to help Tucson erase another two-goal deficit and earn its second consecutive come-from-behind win in a 3-2 victory over the Reign. He earned first-star honors in both contests at Ontario.

Hebig has 12 points (9g, 3a) in 11 games this season and is tied for second in the AHL in goals and tied for 10th in points.

The Saskatoon, Saskatchewan native has tallied 235 points (111g, 124a) in 463 career AHL games between Tucson and Bakersfield across nine seasons. Hebig is the Roadrunners’ franchise leader in games played (368), goals (97) and points (199) and ranks tied for second all-time in assists (102), four shy of Michael Bunting’s franchise record of 106.

Hebig, an AHL All-Star in 2025, signed a two-year, two-way contract with the Utah Mammoth on July 17, 2025.
