Brad’s Weekend Road Map: July 7 – Going Big
The first Roadmap of July is here! As you may have heard, Jimmy is on a vacation, so I will be taking a break from writing over on TucsonRoadrunners.com/Espanol to take over here until he is back. This week has been an exciting week with tons of signings and Development Camp madness fully underway in Scottsdale.
Welcome Back!
The Roadrunners and General Manager John Ferguson announced their first AHL signings on Wednesday with Cameron Hebig set to return for his fourth season in Tucson and Reece Vitelli signing up for his second pro season and his second with the Roadrunners. Read more HERE.
Two-Way Tracker
With the start of free agency in the NHL, Bill Armstrong, General Manager of the Arizona Coyotes, is making moves left and right involving familiar names to Roadrunners fans. In addition to the favorites Ryan McGregor, Cam Crotty and Travis Barron who have been signed to two-way contracts in the last week, forward John Leonard from last year’s Milwaukee Admirals was signed to a two-way contract on Monday. Leonard scored 17 goals and 27 assists for 44 points in 67 games last season and also appeared in six games with the Nashville Predators. RRTV Guide
This week on RRTV Weekly Adrian Covers a few of the recent signings, including McGregor, Barron and Crotty. In addition to the signings, Adrian recaps the draft party and we eavesdrop to part of Tyson Empey’s visit to this week’s Insider Podcast.
Coyotes Development Camp
Coyotes Development Camp ran this week in Scottsdale. With that, you’ll recognize a few 2022-2023 Roadrunners in: Reece Vitelli, Michael Lombardi, Micah Miller and of course Josh Doan. Head Coach Steve Potvin is also at Development Camp with the rest of Roadrunners coaching and training staff. You can see Steve giving everyone some instruction in the first photo of the tweet below!

Dinner Time!
Last night’s dinner was nothing too special. It consisted of a Chipotle bowl with white rice, chicken, fajita veggies, pico, cheese and lettuce. Not pictured was the red, white and blue popsicle left over from the big holiday weekend that I had for desert. The red, white and blue popsicles are one of my all time favorite deserts.
