Henderson jumped out to an early lead and never looked back, defeating the Roadrunners 3-0. Goaltender Ivan Prosvetov returned to the Roadrunners from the Arizona Coyotes, started in net, and made 26 saves.

The Tucson Roadrunners head out on the road for the second time this season, this time to Las Vegas to clash with the Henderson Silver Knights in a two-game series Friday and Saturday nights at the Orleans Arena. The Roadrunners are coming off a 6-4 win last Saturday over their I-8 Border Rivals, the San Diego Gulls. The Roadrunners set a season-high for goals scored in the game, tied for second in the AHL for goals in a game by a team. The Silver Knights are wrapping up a five-game home stand with a 1-2 record so far, after splitting a two-game series with the Bakersfield Condors and falling to the Ontario Reign on Wednesday.

Tucson, Arizona – The Tucson Roadrunners secured a high-scoring win over the San Diego Gulls Saturday night by a score of 6-4. Forward Hudson Fasching led the way with a hat trick and tied the Roadrunners franchise record for points in a game with five. Tucson netminder Josef Korenar earned his first win in a Roadrunners uniform, stopping 26 shots in the contest.

Both games are set to face-off at 7:00 p.m. MST. The Roadrunners and Gulls split the I-8 Border Series last season, with the Roadrunners retaining the I-8 Border Trophy for the fourth consecutive season. The Roadrunners will take on their “El Lazo de Tucson” alternate identity for both games this weekend, after introducing El Lazo last season to honor Tucson’s rich heritage and culture.

Texas jumped out to an early lead and seemed to have an answer any time the Roadrunners fought back. The Roadrunners fall to 2-2 but will be back at the Tucson Arena on Friday for another two-game series, this time against the San Diego Gulls.

The Tucson Roadrunners wrap up their Home Opener Series with the Texas Stars Sunday afternoon at 4:00 p.m. MST, at the Tucson Arena. Sunday’s game will be the first of seven Roadrunners games to be televised live on The CW Tucson this season. The Roadrunners will look to sweep the series after a decisive 4-0 victory over the Stars Saturday night, which had a pair of standouts in forward Ben McCartney and goaltender Ivan Prosvetov.

Tucson, Arizona – The Tucson Roadrunners took down the Texas Stars 4-0 in Saturday night’s Home Opener at the Tucson Arena. The two standouts from the contest were forward Ben McCartney and goaltender Ivan Prosvetov. McCartney recorded his first professional hat trick, while Ivan recorded his second-straight shutout to open the season, as the Roadrunners cruised to their Home Opener victory. 5,097 fans were in attendance to see the Roadrunners take the ice at the Tucson Arena and went home having seen a tape-to-tape win for the Roadrunners.

Game #3 Texas at Tucson

The Tucson Roadrunners return to the Tucson Arena for regular season hockey for the first time since May when they host the Texas Stars for a pair of games this weekend. Tucson’s Home Opener is slated for tonight at 7:00 p.m. MST, marking the first game at the Tucson Arena with an allowed full capacity since March 11, 2020.

Stockton, California – The Tucson Roadrunners lost a back-and-forth battle with the Stockton Heat Saturday night in California, by a final score of 3-2. Hudson Fasching and Cam Dineen, both in their fourth seasons with the club, scored the pair of goals for the Roadrunners. Goaltender Josef Korenar made his debut for Tucson, making stopping 22 shots in the loss.

Game #2 Tucson at Stockton

The Tucson Roadrunners wrap up their opening weekend series with the Stockton Heat Saturday night at 6:00 p.m. at Stockton Arena in California. The Roadrunners came away with a 1-0 overtime win in their season opener, as newcomer Vladislav Kolyachonok rifled the game-winner past Stockton netminder Dustin Wolf 1:56 into the overtime period, and Tucson goaltender Ivan Prosvetov earned a shutout win in his first start of the season.
