Game #21: Tucson at Ontario

The Tucson Roadrunners head out on the road to take on the Ontario Reign for the first game of a three-game, two-country road trip. Tucson and Ontario split the two-game series at the Tucson Arena November 12 and 13, and now the Roadrunners will be back at the Toyota Arena in Ontario for the first time since February 28, 2020. The Roadrunners will then travel north of the border to face the Canucks in Abbotsford for the first time in franchise history Wednesday and Thursday of next week.

Tucson, Arizona – The Tucson Roadrunners concluded their longest home stand of December with a 3-0 loss to the Henderson Silver Knights. Tucson outshot the Silver Knights 36-26 but were unable to put the puck past Henderson goaltender Logan Thompson. Zane McIntyre made his third start in net for the Roadrunners and recorded 23 saves in Wednesday’s contest, allowing just one five-on-five goal.

The Tucson Roadrunners wrap up their final home stand before Christmas Wednesday night as they’ll host the Henderson Silver Knights for the second-straight evening. The Roadrunners will look to earn three out of four possible standings points against the Silver Knights with a win on Wednesday, after falling in overtime in the series opener by a score of 4-3.

The Roadrunners struck first, but a late comeback by the Silver Knights forced overtime where Tucson fell 4-3. Ivan Prosvetov made his fifth-straight start in goal for the Roadrunners and made 31 saves.

The Tucson Roadrunners continue their home stand with a pair of games against the Henderson Silver Knights Tuesday and Wednesday at the Tucson Arena. The Roadrunners and Silver Knights are just one point apart in the AHL Pacific Division standings entering the midweek series.

Game Recap: Stockton (5) at Tucson (1)

Tucson, Arizona – The Tucson Roadrunners wrapped up their weekend series with the Stockton Heat Saturday night at the Tucson Arena, falling to the Heat by a score of 5-1. The game was Tucson’s annual Teddy Bear Toss Game, and Ryan McGregor netted the goal for the Roadrunners, spawning thousands of stuffed animals onto the ice. Ivan Prosvetov started his fourth-straight game in net for the Roadrunners and made 30 saves.

Game #18: Stockton at Tucson

The Tucson Roadrunners will look to win their fourth-straight home matchup Saturday night, when they’ll once again host the Stockton Heat. Tucson won the first game of the series Friday night in exciting fashion, coming back from down 4-2 to win in a shootout 5-4. The Roadrunners have now won five of their last six games, as well as five of their last six at home, including three-straight at the Tucson Arena dating back to November 26.

Tucson, Arizona – The Tucson Roadrunners hosted the Stockton Heat for the first time since February of 2020 Friday night at the Tucson Arena, in a game that included two teams that were winners of four of their last five. The Roadrunners came back from down 4-2 to force overtime and eventually reach a shootout, where they came away with the victory. Tucson goaltender Ivan Prosvetov had a night to remember, as he matched his career-high in saves with 47 for his sixth win of the season.

Game #17: Stockton at Tucson

Two red-hot teams in the Tucson Roadrunners and Stockton Heat, both winners of four of their last five, will battle at the Tucson Arena Friday night for the first of two games against the Calgary Flames AHL affiliate. The Roadrunners are kicking off a home stand that features four games in six nights, beginning with the Heat Friday and Saturday. Friday’s game marks the first meeting between these two teams since the opening weekend of the season.

Loveland, Colorado – The Tucson Roadrunners fell to the Colorado Eagles by a score of 4-0 Saturday night at the Budweiser Events Center, putting an end to Tucson’s active win streak at four games. Roadrunners goaltender Ivan Prosvetov stopped the first 20 shots he faced, and ended his night with 30 total saves. Colorado had six trips to the man advantage, scoring on one, while the Roadrunners came up empty-handed on their lone power-play of the contest.

Game #16: Tucson at Colorado

The Roadrunners will face the Colorado Eagles in the second game of a back-to-back series at the Budweiser Events Center Saturday night. Tucson extended their winning streak to four games with a 4-1 victory over the Eagles in the series opener Friday night, which marked the first time in franchise history that the Roadrunners have won the first game of a series against the Eagles in Loveland. Tucson will be looking to earn their second-straight series sweep and extend their overall win streak to five.

Loveland, Colorado – The Tucson Roadrunners dominated on both the power-play and penalty-kill to come away with a decisive 4-1 victory over the Colorado Eagles Friday night at the Budweiser Events Center in Loveland. Tucson tacked on three goals in the first period and held the Eagles scoreless for the first 56:26 to extend their win streak to four games. Goaltender Ivan Prosvetov was stellar in net, as he stopped the first 26 shots faced and ended the game with 31 total saves.
