Game #16 – Roadrunners at Reign

The 9-5-1-0 Tucson Roadrunners reach the second stop of their five-game road trip Saturday night, as they’ll begin a two-game series with the Ontario Reign. Saturday marks the first meeting between the Roadrunners and the AHL affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings, as Tucson and Ontario enter the series with near identical records of 9-5-1-0 and 9-5-0-1, respectively. The Roadrunners come into their final two games of November having won three of their last four contests, while the Reign carry a winning streak of two games into Saturday night.

Game Recap: Tucson (3) at San Diego (1)

San Diego, California – The Tucson Roadrunners took on their I-8 Border Rivals, the San Diego Gulls, for the first time this season Wednesday night at the Pechanga Arena in San Diego. The Roadrunners led for the final 53:05 of the contest to come away with a 3-1 win over the Gulls to improve to 9-5-1-0 on the season. Tucson goaltender Ivan Prosvetov earned his sixth win of the season with 30 saves, as he kept the AHL affiliate of the Anaheim Ducks off the scoreboard for the opening 57:36 of Wednesday’s matchup.

Game #15 – Roadrunners at Gulls

The 8-5-1-0 Tucson Roadrunners head out on the road to begin a five-game road trip across the state of California. The first stop on the trip is Wednesday night at the Pechanga Arena in San Diego, as Tucson will take on the 6-10-0-0 San Diego Gulls for the first time this season to reignite the I-8 Border Rivalry. The Roadrunners take a nearly identical roster into the start of the road trip, with the only recent move being that the Arizona Coyotes have assigned forward Liam Kirk from the Roadrunners to the Atlanta Gladiators of the ECHL.

Tucson, Arizona – The Tucson Roadrunners wrapped up their six-game home stand at the Tucson Arena on Sunday with their second of two meetings with the San Jose Barracuda on the weekend. The Roadrunners fell to the AHL affiliate of the San Jose Sharks to split the two-game set and move to 8-5-1-0 on the year overall. Sunday was also Community Giving Day at the Tucson Arena, as the Roadrunners honored mural artist Alejandra Trujillo and collected hundreds of items to donate to local Tucson families for Thanksgiving Dinner.

Game #14 – Barracuda at Roadrunners

The 8-4-1-0 Tucson Roadrunners close out their six-game home stand at the Tucson Arena Sunday afternoon, as they’ll host the San Jose Barracuda for the second matchup of a two-game weekend series. The Roadrunners took the series opener by a score of 6-3 after facing a 3-0 deficit in the first period. Tucson will look to remain undefeated against the Barracuda, as they enter Sunday with a 3-0-0-0 record against the AHL affiliate of the San Jose Sharks on the season. Tucson, Arizona – The Tucson Roadrunners opened a two-game weekend series with the San Jose Barracuda Saturday night at the Tucson Arena, as they overcame a 3-0 deficit to earn a 6-3 win. Forward Milos Kelemen recorded the second hat trick by a Roadrunner this season, joining Laurent Dauphin (October 23 vs Bakersfield). Forwards J.S. Dea (2a), Mike Carcone (1g 2a) and Nathan Smith (1g 1a) also tallied multiple points. Roadrunners netminder Jon Gillies earned his second win in as many outings this season against the Barracuda with 19 saves.

Game #13 – Barracuda at Roadrunners

The 7-4-1-0 Tucson Roadrunners open a two-game set with the San Jose Barracuda Saturday night at the Tucson Arena. The pair of games with the San Jose Sharks AHL affiliate will close out Tucson’s current six-game home stand, tied for the longest of the season. Tucson will look to remain perfect on the season against San Jose, after a two-game sweep of the Barracuda to close out the month of October. Saturday’s game will also be Hockey Fights Cancer Night at the Tucson Arena, with the Roadrunners debuting their new White Kachina Alternate Jerseys.

Game Recap: Henderson (2) at Tucson (6)

Tucson, Arizona – The Tucson Roadrunners concluded their two-game set against the Henderson Silver Knights at the Tucson Arena Wednesday night, defeating the AHL affiliate of the Vegas Golden Knights by a score of 6-2. The score represents the most goals scored in a game by the Roadrunners this season, as 12 different players recorded a point in the victory. Tucson goalie Ivan Prosvetov earned his fifth win of the season, as he stopped 29 of 31 to split the midweek set against Henderson. The Roadrunners improve to 7-4-1-0 on the season, and will host the San Jose Barracuda Saturday and Sunday at the Tucson Arena to close out the home stand.

Game #12 – Silver Knights at Roadrunners

The 6-4-1-0 Tucson Roadrunners wrap up their midweek series with the Henderson Silver Knights Wednesday at the Tucson Arena. The Roadrunners will be looking to even up both the midweek series and overall season series with the Vegas Golden Knights AHL affiliate, after Henderson took the series opener on Tuesday. Wednesday marks the first Kids Free Wednesday of the season, as all kids 12 and under can get a free ticket to the game with a paying adult at the Tucson Arena Box Office.

Tucson, Arizona – The Tucson Roadrunners opened a two-game set with the Henderson Silver Knights Tuesday night at the Tucson Arena. The Roadrunners opened the scoring in the first period to take a 1-0 lead and entered the third period trailing 2-1, before falling to the Silver Knights by a score of 7-1 with a five-goal third period for Henderson. Tucson’s goal was scored by Ben McCartney for his first time lighting the lamp this season. The game was also the first $2 Twos-Day of the year at the Tucson Arena, with $2 draft beers and $2 popcorn available to all fans in attendance.

Game #11 – Silver Knights at Roadrunners

The 6-3-1-0 Tucson Roadrunners continue their six-game home stand Tuesday night, with the first of back-of-back matchups with the Henderson Silver Knights at the Tucson Arena. The Roadrunners opened the season on the road against Henderson October 14 and 15, splitting the weekend set with the Vegas Golden Knights AHL affiliate before rolling off five consecutive wins. Tuesday’s game also marks the first $2 Twos-Day of the season, with half-priced tickets available at the Tucson Arena Box Office and $2 draft beers and $2 popcorn during the game.

Game Recap: Coachella Valley (4) at Tucson (3) (OT)

Tucson, Arizona – The Tucson Roadrunners faced off with the Coachella Valley Firebirds Saturday night in front of a crowd of 4,388 at the Tucson Arena, closing out a two-game set with the AHL affiliate of the Seattle Kraken. The Roadrunners picked up a point in the standings as they fell to the Firebirds in overtime by a score of 4-3. Tucson Forward Mike Carcone extended his team lead for points to 14 (4g, 10a) with a goal and an assist. After Saturday’s contest, the Tucson Roadrunners raised nearly $30,000 in their postgame Military Jersey auction with all proceeds going to VetTix, an organization that provides tickets to sports games, concerts and other events to Veterans and their families.
